Our website is also connected to Facebook, and we store those messenger conversations, including a link to your Facebook profile on our website server. Our Website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to run our website, event listings, blog posts, members areas, forums, galleries and public contact forms. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. Access to our servers is protected by accounts.
Who has access to my Personal Information?
Only our Trustees and selected volunteers can access your personal information held on our Wix platform. We will not share your Personal Information or messages you send us with third parties unless you agree for us to refer you if we feel that they are better suited to support you - in this case, we will send them an email with only the necessary information rather than grant them access to our website servers. We reserve the right to pass on information to law enforcement if we are required to do so by law.
How do we communicate with you?
We may contact you in reply to a message you have sent us (via our forms or Facebook) to reply to messages you’ve sent or update you on an event you signed up to. We may also contact you via our forums or direct email if you are registered on our website as a member. For these purposes we may contact you via the email you provided us or the social media account you used to contact us with.
How do I update my data, withdraw consent or get a copy of my data?
We comply with GDPR. We will only use your data for the specified purpose by which wee collected it and will remove it once that purpose has been fulfilled. We must also keep your information up-to-date if we need to use it in an ongoing manner (e.g. being a member on our site).
